From the beginning, our goal has been to pay a stipend to every contributor whose work is published in Cezanne’s Carrot. We moved closer to that goal in late 2006 when we received official classification as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation under U.S. law. This designation allows tax-deductible donations to Spiritual, Transformational, & Visionary Arts, Inc. — the legal entity that publishes “The Carrot.” We are now able to offer a stipend for every story we publish, but we would like to see that stipend grow, a new goal that will depend on the generosity of our readers!
