Jeff writes:
"Blue Blue Blue Flame" and "Blue Flame" are images of a shoe box stuffed with tissue paper on a high-wood-grain dining room table. I happened past the dining room table and saw the tissue jetting out of the box, which spoke to me aesthetically, and I thought, "Photo." I played with the lighting and the position of the box on the table, and I got a set of photos, which I then digitally manipulated. To me, the images play between flame and flower, and the simplicity of petal-flame presence, being no more than opened-up tissue paper, makes the images work.
