"Icy Columniation" reminds me of a tower of cumulus clouds in a microcosm of ice. While walking across a frozen pond, I happened to see the distinct columns of air bubbles, symmetrical, almost alien, surrounding a dead tree. Prostrate on the ice, I used the closeup setting on my camera, taking dozens of pictures. This one is simple, yet eye-catching, I think, with only minor levels and contrast adjustments in Photoshop.
