"Veiled" by Patricia Kay

Patricia KayPatricia writes:
"Veiled" represents an interesting combination of modesty and flirtation. I feel that the bold colours of the blue eye and the threads of yellow and red in the veil contrast well with the stark black and almost-white tones of the rest of the photo. It brings to mind the adage "more than meets the eye," referring not just to the side of the face cloaked in darkness, but also to what may be going on in the woman's mind.

Patricia Kay is a photographer living on the doorstep of the magnificent Canadian Rocky Mountains. She finds inspiration for her photographs in discovering something unique or interesting within ordinary daily scenes. Angles, colour, and lighting come together in ways that beg to be captured. Some of Patricia's work can be viewed at www.flickr.com/photos/patriciakay/, and she can be reached via email at patriciakayphotography@yahoo.com.
