Cezanne's Carrot is pleased to feature the works of artist Simon Frantzen in this issue. Simon, who lives in the Netherlands, has created paintings before by encaustic art. In recent years, he began to channel cosmic energies to create incredible visionary artwork.

"The energies in the painting itself are doing its work," he says, "and each painting has a personal message for the person who is looking at it. The energies in the paintings live so what counts for the one does not have to count for the other—everybody recognizes his/hers personal message."

Simon usually creates his paintings after meditating, when his mind is quiet and receptive. The content and colors are both composed intuitively. "I open my heart to the angels and ask them to send me their energies, which I may transform to a painting," he says. "I use my paintings also to let go of my own emotions, to put them on paper. The paintings then are a copy of my inner situation."

Simon also conducts workshops for spiritual groups to help people learn to "paint their situation on paper." While he does a reading on their paintings, "first I let them read their painting themselves. Afterwards, I explain to them what the colors mean and what symbols are in the paintings."

He plans to conduct more of these spiritual painting workshops, both nationally and internationally, with his partner, Ana Branco. When Simon and Ana met in early 2007, Simon was already doing spiritual work, mostly as an energy healer, in addition to his artwork. Ana was also on the spiritual path.

"We are soul mates," he says, "and have decided to start together our own practice. As we are growing together now, I can develop much more in consciousness, and Ana herself is becoming stronger energetically. Our goal is to wake up people to return to their true self and become the person they really are, unconditioned, free, and creative."

Simon was born in the south of the Netherlands in 1961, and after a divorce, moved in 1999 to the western part of the Netherlands. There, his awakening began, and he started to remember spiritual abilities he'd had during his childhood.

Ana Branco was born in Portugal in 1966, and moved to the Netherlands when she was 18. Simon notes: "After a difficult life, she became a very powerful woman who is excited to exchange her abilities with other women who are still dependent and conditioned by society, family, or religions." Together, Ana and Simon have intuitively described each of the paintings published in this issue.

Simon and Ana can be reached via email at info@universeoflight.nl. Their new website, www.universeoflight.nl, is currently under construction but will be available beginning in July.
