"Shellular 3" is a digital print of a numeric algorithm-based form I created using a specialized computer application. The creation of forms based on numbers is a fascinating journey of discovery in which I intuitively vary the parameters and, in this case in which the form is actually three-dimensional, I rotated it until I liked the composition and felt I had achieved an image that reflected my inner response to this amazing shape, and then I adjusted the texture and lighting for this final render. This print reminds me of the cycles and levels of Life and hence it is to me a visual metaphor for journeys, growth, and exploration.
