This piece was the second in the series to be completed, and presented a new set of challenges. This was my first attempt at working on a painting of this magnitude. Although, the process is identical, during this piece I focused more on craftsmanship. "Untitled (IM)" served as the inspiration for this painting because I wanted to re-work some of the ideas addressed in the previous work, and I also wanted to make more knowledgeable color choices rather than choosing random hues hoping that there would be harmony on the canvas when complete.

Charles Logan was born in Los Angeles, CA, on January 17, 1982, and received his BFA in Fine Art at California State University, Dominguez Hills, in 2005. He is in his second year at Claremont Graduate University, majoring in art with an emphasis in drawing and painting. He works at a private/non-public school for children with special needs in Costa Mesa, CA, with the intentions of incorporating his love of art into the academic program, which provides an opportunity to develop instructional skills.
