During this work, I wanted to utilize the open space of the canvas exhibiting the evolution of my painting. I wanted to do the opposite of the two previous paintings, and not completely cover the canvas, allowing the brushstrokes to be loose, and adding drips of paint. I also sought to add texture to some areas by introducing a heavy gel medium to thicken the pigment as a device to create depth. Although the process remains the same, the ideas evolve with each piece, with the intentions of drawing inspiration upon the previous work to help complete future works.
