This piece was created using ink and watercolor. In a whimsical manner, I wanted to convey the image of a secret moment between two people. Simplifying the image by working in black and white allowed me to play with the values and shadow.

Nora Schaefer is currently attending the University of the Arts as an illustration major. She is living and working in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She has been published in Calyx literary journal and has exhibited in Ardmore and Media, Pennsylvania. She plans on writing and illustrating her own children's book.
