At the time this was created, I was listening to music that I really love. (Oregon, Ralph Towner/Solstice). One of the pieces is titled "Triton's Horn," and though I borrowed the title, I can't say that piece specifically was the point of inspiration. The music definitely played a part, and I hope I captured the magic. This was done in my mixed media illustration style. It allows me the freedom of combining images and "playing with reality" in order to express what exists beyond it, or in spite of it. Straightforward painting gets tedious to me, and I prefer creating fantasy/surrealism.
